30 Years Later: Clayoquot Sound protests on Meares Island

The Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation gathered at Tofino Community Hall April 20 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the beginning of Clayoquot Sound protests that saved Meares Island's old growth forest from logging. Those who were on the front lines back in 1984 gathered for some songs and dances and a chance to reminise about their successes.
