Natural Resource Manager

The Natural Resource Manager reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the oversight management, usage and conservation of Hupacasath First nation lands, air, water, infastructure, traditioanl territories and natural resources in a manner that respects or values so that our traditional teachings and knowledge can prosper and be shared with future generations. This position also reviews and advises on opportunities for economic development within the Nation in terms of its impact and integration with the Natural Resource plans and policies.


  • Education, training and certificates in Land management and Natural Resources
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in natural resources, environmental studies or public works related field is an asset
  • 3 years plus work experience in a similar position working with GIS mapping, cultural and traditional use sites
  • 2 years experience in a land management role
  • Experience with First Nation fund reporting and writing comprehensive funding applications
  • Strong environmental monitoring skills
