On Feb. 4 at the Hupacasath House of Gathering near Port Alberni, the Nuu-chah-nulth nations hosted Fisheries and Oceans Canada for a cultural training workshop. Nuu-chah-nulth demonstrated the time before contact with European society, the changes that came over 250 years of non-indigenous government policy and legislation, and the way forward for the two groups from here.
