It is with sadness that the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council had learned of the loss of Glenn Wong, Alberni Clayoquot Regional District chairman and School District 70 trustee, who passed away suddenly while in Victoria on Sept. 28.
First Nations in the Alberni Valley considered Glenn a friend who supported their many goals and dreams for our children, through education, and for our nations in his work for the region. Glenn could always be counted upon to give generously of his time to our people and our issues, working to understand the First Nations’ perspective and advocating on our behalf where he could be of influence.
NTC executive members would like to offer their sincere condolences to Glenn’s family on behalf of the broader Nuu-chah-nulth community.
Glenn Wong will be missed.
