Naloxone training underway in Tofino

Hands-on instruction on the safe use of Naloxone to treat overdose emergencies is making its way across the west coast of Vancouver Island this spring, beginning with a free public event that was held at the Tofino Fire Hall on April 26.

Tofino Fire Chief Brent Baker and Tofino Community Paramedic Scott Belinski at an April 26th naloxone training session at the Tofino Firehall. Baker said another training session is being contemplated for the end of May or early June.
