The Pacific Rim Arts Society would like to extend an open invitation to everyone to attend the opening ceremony of the second annual Cultural Heritage Festival. The festival kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 4:30 at the Kwisitis Visitor Centre, Pacific Rim
National Park Reserve.
This year’s focus is Nuu-chah-nulth cultural heritage, and we will be offering guided tours of a collection of authentic artifacts and regalia items at Kwisitis. We are excited to provide daily events and activities that will give more insight into the deep and complex Nuu-chah-nulth culture, and its considerable influence on arts communities both local and abroad.
The Contemporary Art Show opens Sunday, Sept. 22, at 7:00 pm at Black Rock
Oceanfront Resort — no charge, all are welcome. The ten-day festival runs Sept. 21 to
30 in Tofino, Ucluelet, Ittatsoo and the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. You can find the festival program at many locations around our towns, on Facebook, and at
pacificrimarts.ca.
